The project is conceived with a purpose of growing of Mangoes, processing, marketing and exports ofDried Mango products utilizing the favorable conditions in Uganda.The project will grow 600hectares (1,500 acres) ofMango and 200 hectares(500 acres) of Frenchbeans, Vegetables andother crops for Food.The project will beimplemented in phases.The project will utilize theintercropping opportunity in Mango for the first 3 years when the Mango orchards are in growing phases.
The project land is located inKiguli, Lwampanga sub county in Nakasongola District, 135km north ofKampala, 15km north east of Nakasongola town. It starts about 5km from Lake Kyoga on one side andextends up to the shores on another side.
The proposed project will have access to 800 ha (2,000 acres) owned by NEC and another 200 ha (500acres) will be under NEC outgrower program attached to the JV project.

Largest irrigated Mango Orchard in East Africa : The project will plant 600 ha (1,500 acres) Organic Mango Orchards under Irrigation.
Largest irrigated Organic Vegetables farm in East Africa : The project will also grow 200 ha (500 acres) Organic vegetables and herbs under Irrigation for exportsand better cash flows through the gestation period for Mangoes to produce.
First PPP in Uganda for Agribusiness Value Chain : The project will be the first 800 ha (2,000 acres) agribusiness project implemented under the PPPmodel for modernization, commercialization, and promotion of Exports.
